Mediterranean Home Decor - Tuscan, French Country, Spanish Interior Design Accessories to Decorate Southern European Style
Mediterranean Spanish style decorating in home and garden is warm and inviting. Live comfortably with your Spanish home decor. Spanish Mediterranean colors and themes create a rich earthy color palette that is drawn from nature. Bring the rich reds and oranges of terra cotta into your Mediterranean - Spanish design home with tiles, fabrics, pottery, leather, ceramics, copper and wood. In your Spanish style home, faux finished walls imitating creamy stucco enhance this interior design style. Shades of green and blue bring the outside in. Warm colors in wood furniture and upholstery soften the look of rustic Spanish furniture. The look and casual feel of woven tapestry throws draped over chairs, a table embellished with a tapestry runner and an old world theme wall hanging compliment Spanish interior design and bring additional Spanish color to your decorating palette.

MEDITERRANEAN DECORATING
Advancements in architecture and craftsmanship have been shared between Mediterranean cultures for centuries.
Beginning in the 15th century, furniture styles and home accessories were commonly traded by land and sea between Italy, France and Spain. Southern European cultures incorporated influences throughout Mediterranean regions into their architectural styles and home interior designs.
Interior design elements from Tuscan, French Country and Spanish decorating styles work well together.
Accessories and decorating accents in Tuscan and French Country interior design inherently compliment Spanish interior design.

INTERIOR WALL DESIGN AND REMODEL
When designing a new Spanish style home or planning a remodel, consider opening up the dining room to other rooms in your home. In the picture left, the homeowner removed two walls of the dining room and built arches between the kitchen side and the foyer side that leads to the great room.
Placed inside one of the arches is our Entrada wall decor arch. The ironwork defines the foyer and at the same time allows the dining room to be viewed from other entertaining spaces within the home. The arcitectural changes and the ironwork compliment the arched window style of the existing dining room.

(PHOTO RIGHT) In the bathroom, the Entrada wall arch is placed on the wall behind the vanity and vanity mirror. Gentle curves are the story here as the wall decor is complientary to the curves of the oval mirror, the light fixture, the vanity, the sink and the arched door entering the powder room. Versatile iron wall decor stands alone as wall art, can be incorporated into architectural design and can be used as a backdrop to showcase other decorative accessories.
