Decorating with Cobalt Blue
in the Mediterranean Style Home

Walls washed with soft color set the stage for splashes of rich cobalt blue throughout your Mediterranean style home.

Cobalt blue, burgundy and bright yellows are mainstays in pottery produced throughout Mediterranean regions.

Cobalt blue is found in the Mediterranean kitchen in colorful back splashes of cobalt blue ceramic tiles.

When it comes to ceramics and other decorative arts, bold, dramatic cobalt blue is a favorite.

Infusing a room with cobalt blue can be as simple as a bringing in a new area rug, piling on colorful pillows and selecting cobalt blue accessories.

Decorating with Cobalt Blue

From deep cobalt blue to a soothing pale aqua, blue is a favorite decorating color when designing a quiet, serene and relaxing ambience. Because blue nourishes the spirit and psyche, the combination of bright white and dark blue is a color combo that is a favorite for summer vacation homes.

Cobalt blue is a color seen throughout Mediterranean regions. Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean sea, home exteriors are often painted in stark white with doors and windows trimmed in cobalt blue. The effect is fresh, clean and pristine. Blue and white is a classic combo that never goes out of style. As you consider adding blue to your color scheme, our cobalt blue ceramic collection is a perfect starting point.

Creating Impact with Decorative Accessories
Retail showrooms are an ideal location to see how interior designers work with color. A showroom offers with a myriad of fixture and accessory colors chosen to compliment a wide range of decorating themes. Wall color is often neutral.
Neutral wall color allows a home decor showroom to create impact with each fixture and accessory display.

Pictured here is a section of our retail showroom that is dedicated to our cobalt blue ceramics. We purposefully do not spread these ceramic vessels throughout the showroom. Our intent is to showcase them and to give customers ideas how they can group them for greater visual appeal.

We have elevated some of the pieces and even highlighted the fat ribbed vase by placing it inside one our decorative floral wreath. The contrasting heights and textures add interest to the display. Placing the blue ceramics in front of a mirror enhances the display by multiplying their images.
